Charges Dropped on Jussie Smollett

Charges dropped against Jussie Smollett by Illinois State Attorney in disorderly conduct case. After all of the drama with Jussie, the Chicago Police and state of Illinois. The state's Attorney's office has decided not to prosecute him for allegedly faking a racial attack on January 29th. Jussie and his lawyers were in court Tuesday morning in Chicago, where he was facing 16 felony counts of lying to police in the alleged racial and homophobic attack.

Kim Foxx, States Attorney filed a no pros documentation which basically a request for no more prosecution. The judge in the case granted the no pros. There was no point in continuing with the case according to Kim Foxx because Jussie would have only gotten community service if convicted.

Jussie and his lawyers addressed the media on March 26th. Jussie's lawyers stated, "Today, all criminal charges against Jussie Smollett were dropped and his record has been wiped clean of the filing of this tragic complaint against him. He was a victim who was vilified by the public and made to appear as a perpetrator as a result of false and inappropriate remarks made to the public, causing an inappropriate rush to judgment."

Jussie's stated to the media that "I have always remained honest about what happened to him and cooperated with the investigation. He thanked his family and friends all over the world for the support that they have shown. It has been the worst time of his life and I wouldn't bring the movement through a fire like this.

Let's be honest Jussie can thank the Chicago Police Department who held a press conference shattering his character and the ridiculous amount of charges. This whole case should serve as a lesson to everyone not to rush to judgement about charges or alleged criminal activity without all the facts.
